League Rules

Game Duration / Shot Clock

  • Game Time: 36 minutes, stop clock for free throws, timeouts, dead ball situations, and all made baskets until the 3-minute mark of the 4th quarter.
  • Quarters: Four 9-minute quarters.
  • Shot Clock: 24 seconds. Resets to 24 on all offensive rebounds and kick-ball situations. If under 15 seconds, the clock resets to 15 seconds.
  • Half-Time: 5 minutes.

Player Disqualification

  • 6th Foul: Player disqualified.
  • Ejection: May result in suspension for the next league or playoff game.
  • Committee Vote: A vote determines a player's eligibility. Members involved in the next game cannot vote.

Disqualified Player

  • Fight Involvement: Any team member leaving the bench during a fight will be disqualified and ejected.
  • Replacement: A disqualified player must be replaced within 20 seconds.
  • Notification: The head coach will be notified by officials of the disqualification.

Ejection

  • Immediate Dismissal: The player must leave the court and report to the locker room.
  • Automatic Ejection:
    1. Flagrant 2 personal/technical foul.
    2. Maximum technical fouls.
    3. Participation in a fight (physical or verbal).
    4. Leaving the bench during a fight.

EIBC Ending

  • 3-Minute Mark: The winning team only needs to score 7 points to be declared the winner (can include free throws).
  • FT Bonus: 2 foul shots are awarded on the second team foul during the EIBC ending.
  • Mercy Rule: No EIBC ending if a team is losing by 30 points or more.

Foul Line / Bonus / Technical Free Throws

  • 6th Foul: Teams shoot two free throws per quarter.
  • Technical Fouls: Result in one free throw and possession of the ball.

Putting Ball in Play - Live/Dead Ball

  • Jump Ball: At center circle for the start of the game, overtime, or certain violations (e.g., double free throw, double foul).

Continuation Rule

  • Continuation: If a shooting motion was continuing, the basket counts, and a free throw is awarded.
  • Non-Continuation: No basket, and free throws depend on the penalty status.

Advancement of the Ball

  • 3-Minute Mark: The ball can be advanced to the hash line if no basketball action (dribble, pass) is committed.
  • Shot Clock: Resets to 14 seconds upon ball advancement.

Timeouts

  • Timeouts Per Half: Two full timeouts and two 30-second timeouts.
  • Timeouts Do Not Carry Over.

End of Year (EOY) Awards / Playoffs / Rosters / Events

  • Roster Deadline: September 1st, 11:00 AM EST.
  • Roster Limit: 15 players, no postgrad players allowed.
  • Player Eligibility: Players must participate in 9 regular-season games to be eligible for awards.

Coaching Conduct / Attire

  • Conduct: No excessive cursing, respectful behavior towards referees, players, and fans.
  • Attire: Coaches must wear team logo apparel, polos, and dress pants.
    • Prohibited: Jeans, hats, and sunglasses. Non-compliance will result in a $25 fine.

Player Conduct / Attire

  • Conduct: No cursing towards anyone during or after the game.
  • Attire:
    • Acceptable: Team-branded clothing, polos, and team sweat-suits.
    • Prohibited: Hats, sunglasses, jeans, or excessive jewelry.
